Olivia Dean is an English singer-songwriter from Haringey, north London, whose second album made her the most decorated new artist of 2026. She went to the BRIT School in Croydon at fifteen, where Raye and Rachel Chinouriri were classmates, and released her debut album Messy in 2023 to a Mercury Prize nomination. The follow-up, The Art of Loving, went to number one in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands and Belgium in September 2025 and carried the singles 'Man I Need' and 'So Easy (To Fall in Love)' into the top five of the Billboard Hot 100. She won the Grammy for Best New Artist in February 2026, then four BRIT Awards in March including British Artist of the Year, and BET Best New Artist in June. Dean co-writes every song she records, usually with a small rotating group of collaborators rather than a fixed partner.
