Data Insight

The split credit carries over from Burn the Priest: Randy Blythe takes the lyrics on all ten tracks and the music goes to Lamb of God as a whole. This is the last album with that arrangement until Into Oblivion twenty-six years later.

New American Gospel is the first album under the Lamb of God name, released on Prosthetic in September 2000. It has sold over 100,000 copies in the United States and was reissued remastered in 2006 with four extra tracks.
