Timberlake co-wrote all material; 'Filthy,' 'Supplies,' 'Midnight Summer Jam,' and 'Say Something' (featuring Chris Stapleton) were the principal singles, with the album's country-folk hybrid approach generating mixed commercial results. The album was released immediately after a widely criticized Super Bowl halftime performance, and the combination of commercial and critical response made it the least commercially successful album of Timberlake's career in terms of streaming and reception. Man of the Woods debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with 274,000 first-week units and has been certified gold in the United States.
