Blunt is credited on all ten tracks, and on one of them, he is the only name. The rest carry co-writers, most often Sacha Skarbek, who is on "You're Beautiful" and several others. "No Bravery", the song he wrote on duty in Kosovo, sits at the end of a record otherwise about a broken relationship, which is the tension the album is remembered for.
Back to Bedlam is James Blunt's debut, released in October 2004 on Atlantic and Custard after he left the British Army. Tom Rothrock produced it. "You're Beautiful" made it a worldwide record: it topped charts in thirteen countries, and the album became the best-selling of the 2000s in the United Kingdom.
