Daddy Yankee wrote all nineteen tracks and is the sole credited writer on fourteen of them. Only five bring in a co-writer, and Marcrilet Rodríguez is on three of those five. He also produced most of the record himself with OMB and Xound, who between them appear on thirteen tracks. The real break from his earlier work is the guest list: there is none. Legendaddy in 2022 was built on features and outside writers, with only seven of its nineteen tracks written by Yankee alone; this one has no featured artist anywhere.
Lamento en Baile is Daddy Yankee’s sixth studio album, released on October 16, 2025 through DY Records and Zarpazo. It is his first release since announcing his conversion to Christianity in 2023 and his first since Legendaddy in 2022. Nineteen tracks run 53 minutes across Latin Christian, Latin pop and merengue, and he wrote every one of them.
