By the Numbers
Eleven of the twelve tracks are the band's own, and the exception is the one that put them on American radio twice over: "Don't Turn Around", by Albert Hammond and Diane Warren. Four songs off this record made the Hot 100 top 20, and the biggest-selling album of their career carries the fewest of their own new songs.
The Sign came out on Arista in November 1993 as the North American edition of Happy Nation and is certified nine times platinum by the RIAA. "The Sign" went to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and three more singles reached the top 20.
